A stunning vineyard site in the Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley. At first, the color of the wine is strikingly deep, but not black nor purple. It is a dense saturated crimson red. The nose is totally profound with a complex bouquet of deep red fruits like strawberry, cranberry, with flecks of black cherry, red currants, herbs, light earthiness, and spices. In the mouth, the wine is medium to medium-full bodied, with a fine elegant texture, spices, oak vanilla, and red and black plums, and cherry pie flavors. The finish is elegant, not at all overblown, but long, crisply fresh and grippy with smooth tannins.

"From a site beside Ritchie Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, the 2020 Pinot Noir Starscape is a charming, balanced, well-made Pinot Noir that has impressive red and black fruits (cherries, raspberries) as well as some forest, spicy, smoky nuances. It’s balanced and well worth drinking over the coming 4-5 years."
