"While this site is known for its incredible Cabernet Sauvignon, today, it also produces some of the finest Cabernet Franc in the world. The 2018 Cabernet Franc Lithology Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard offers a crazy bouquet of wildflowers, violets, tobacco, crème de cassis, and assorted darker berry fruits. Full-bodied, ultra-fine, and perfectly balanced, with thrilling tannins, it’s another “do not miss” wine. The blend is 87% Cabernet Franc and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon that was fermented in a mix of tank and puncheons and aged 20 months in 75% new French oak. I’m probably underrating this by a point."
